Bios

Carrie Campana (Costume Designer) is excited to be a part of the Theatre-Hikes team! She has worked with Gorilla Tango, Chicago Theatre Works, and several other companies around Chicago. She looks forward to working on the rest of this season and many more to come!

Laura​ ​Dromerick​ (Laura) is a graduate of the two-year actor training program at the internationally renowned Gately/Poole Acting Conservatory, and holds a B.A. in Dramatic Art from UNC Chapel Hill. Laura had appeared on screen in the web series The Blockade Runner, indie film Imago and a recent music video for rapper JayTekz. She has recently worked with Chicago theatre companies, Compass Creative Dramatics and Collaboraction. She is incredibly excited to be a part of The Complete History of America Abridged!

Katherine Howerton (Hike Leader) is happy to be working with Theatre-Hikes again. Last year you may have seen her hike leading the Greek piece as well as 10 Ways to Survive The Zombie Apocalypse. She does a little bit of everything for Theatre-Hikes, but is so happy to be onstage, or on the grass, for this one.

Eldridge Shannon III (Eldy) was born and raised in Evanston. He began training in Los Angeles at Amazing Grace Conservatory and continued throughout Chicago. Eldridge has trained with Goodman Theatre, ATC, and Piven Theatre Workshop. His past shows with Theatre-Hikes includes, The Jungle Book, 10 Ways To Survive The Zombie Apocalypse, and most recently, A Midsummer Night's Dream. Eldridge has found a new home in Theatre-Hikes and is proud to work with a new talented ensemble for The Complete History of America (Abridged)!

Matthew Powell ​(Director) has been behind the scenes at Theatre-Hikes ® since 2008 and it has been a labour of love, from choreographer, to puppet master, props and costumes, Production Manager, Associate Artistic Director and this season, Artistic Director. Favorite Directing credits for Theatre-Hikes ® include The Wizard of Oz, An Afternoon with Mark Twain, Clue! The Musical and Driving Miss Daisy. He wants to Thank Frank Farrell, the founder of Theatre-Hikes ® and the entire board of directors, but most importantly, Bradley Baker who is the backbone of this company. Thanks, Madley, for giving all of us a place to spread our artistic wings all these years, you will always live in my heart. Matthew is so proud of these actors. This play has been a been a treat to work on. He needs to thank Carrie and Bradley and Christopher for all their hard work. Go US!

Christopher Sylvie (Stage Manager) is excited to be working with Theatre-Hikes on The Complete History of America [abridged]. A passionate lover of theatre and the arts, Sylvie graduated from Northwestern State University of Louisiana where he earned his B.S. in Theatre Performance/Directing before moving to Chicago. Previously Christopher has held the title Staged Manager for Ohio State Murders (Dandelion Theatre), Menorca (16th Street Theatre 10th Anniversary Pop-Up Series) and Assistant Stage Manager for Photograph 51 and The Diary of Anne Frank (Jewish Ensemble Theatre). Jon​ ​Vaughn​ (Jon) (Jon-Vaughn) is a Chicago based actor and writer. A Jack of all trades, he has also dabbled in prop making and fight choreography. One of his life goals is to play Hamlet.
